High School Career

Kiael was a four-year letter-winner at Gaither High School and played for head coach Kirk Karson. He was a 3-star recruit via 247Sports and had an outstanding career with more than 5,000 passing yards to go with 60 passing touchdowns and 21 rushing touchdowns. Kiael was also an all-state and all-conference selection, leading his team to the state semifinals twice. He was the team captain as a junior and led his team to an 11-0 start as a senior.

Personal Background

Kiael is the son of Jaclyn and Kenny Kelly and has two brothers and two sisters. His father, Kenny, played quarterback at Miami (FL) and played professional baseball in the major leagues. Kiael has a keen interest in sports and played baseball and basketball for many years before committing to D1 college football at Ball State University. He is also a Madden guru and fun fact – Kiael eats sunflower seeds before every game just like Marshawn Lynch never missed a game without Skittles.
